Recipe storage is a solved problem. URL parsing is a commodity. Neither creates a habit.
mise. is built around the job that comes back every week: deciding what to cook, turning those meals into one grocery list, cooking from the phone, and recording what the household actually liked.
The loop starts on Sunday. chef, my AI cooking agent, plans and preps the week. Recipes and a collection land in mise. for review. My partner and I shop from the shared list, cook from the same instructions, then mark what we made, starred, or vetoed.
That history is the bet. Plans, grocery usage, cooked meals, reactions, substitutions, and vetoes can become a useful record of how a household really eats — something a folder of saved recipes never learns.
The first test is deliberately small: three weeks with one household of two in Montreal. Both people should open it unprompted, use the grocery list in-store, and cook from the phone. If that loop does not stick, the product is wrong.
