Recipe storage is a solved problem you fill once and forget. Meal planning is a weekly job you come back to. Hearth is built around the weekly job: plan the week with your partner, get a smart grocery list, cook from the same recipes.
AI recipe parsing is already a commodity, so it's not the moat. The moat is the part that can't be exported: your household's taste graph and plan history, the "what's for dinner" that learns what you two actually eat.
The reason I'm building it is simple. I'd use it weekly with my partner, and I already have an AI assistant that writes the recipes. It's dogfood-first: if my own household stops opening it after three weeks, it's wrong, and it moves to the graveyard.
Private during the dogfood phase. If it survives the household, it gets a link here.
